Pakistani classical singer Ustad Hamid Ali Khan

Hamid Ali Khan was born 1953 in Pakistan. He is a classical singer. Hamid Ali Khan belongs to the famous Patiala gharana. He is an exponent of ghazal and classical singing. Hamid Ali Khan has released several records and performed with other popular Indian artists. Hamid has also collaborated with many UK-based artists,some of the recent ones being Partha Sarathi Mukherjee and Fida Hissain. Hamid Ali Khan is the son of Ustad Akhtar Hussein Khan and the youngest brother of singers Bade Fateh Ali Khan & Amanat Ali Khan. He is married. He has three sons. Hamid's sons are currently following in his footsteps and have created their own band called RagaBoyz. Their band is creating a blend between classical Patiala style singing and modren beats. He has toured internationally. Hamid has done events in India, Europe, The Middle East, Australia and the North America. Hamid in early 2010, he did 29 shows in the United States. Hamid tour was arranged by Star Dreamz Entertainment and Pakistani media company ARY Digital.
Hamid Ali Khan joined his brother,Amanat Ali Khan, by also winning the Pride of Performance Award in 2007. In 2010, the Government of Pakistan presented him the Sitara-i-Imtiaz Award. He was presented several awards for lifetime achievement in the field of classical music in his tour of India in 2007. Hamid is one of the few Pakistani artists that has won the Presidential award more than once.
